What is the meaning of the highlighted expression?

Things are looking up now that the tourist season is here.

  1. I think the meaning of this expression is " the things are improving". In this case, this occurs when a town or ruins are renovated so that they can be visited by tourists and thus the area improves. Then I choose the first picture because you are talking about tourism.

    1. Exactly, and even if the town doesn't change at all, the summer usually brings more tourists, more jobs and more money.
      As for the pictures, the three of them were taken in the same area of the UK, a very different and touristy area, can you guess where?
