What is the little thing on the right of the door for? And the thing on the ground next to the walls? My last question: the plant covering the cottage walls is called ...

  1. This little aperture on right of the picture could be an Air vent. Perhaps, It conects with a kitchen or a basement.
The other thing could be an aperture to introduce coal or the entrance to the place where the other thing is.

    2. The thing on the right is a boot scraper and what you see around the house is a drain. Why are they necessary? What do you use them for?

    3. Yes, it could be. You can use the word curtain plant for a plant you grow indoors or outdoors, but in my opinion, this is a bit different. BTW, what do you mean by mzc? I would need to know at least your first name and the initial of your first surname to be able to use this towards your writing mark. Thanks.

    1. Maybe... I know nothing about plants. For me, this is just ivy. But I've just read Virginia Creeper is a type of ivy so you're probably right.
