Can you explain the joke below?

Isn't It Good?

Using a new painting program on my computer, I managed to come up with a very credible still life of fruit. I made a color printout and sent it to my daughter, a graphic designer. She called when it arrived.

"Isn't it good?" I asked.

She chuckled, and in a tone that echoed mine from years ago, replied, "Mom, it's beautiful. We put it on the refrigerator."

  1. The humour is the parent seeking acknowledgment from the child and child “putting the picture on the refrigerator” as if it’s a “work of art” …

All art by most kids is ...........Nice....but should go straight in the bin 😃

  3. I agree. Just one thing: as if it was a work of art.
BTW, I don't know why I appear as anonymous all of a sudden. It's MJ.

  4. Hi, BTW Happy New Year to everyone!

In my opinion, the daughter did the same as her mom had done when she was a child. Even though the "credible still life of fruit" might not like her too much, she tried not to let down her mom and put it on the fridge, as she had learned from her.
