The wonderful novel Pride and Prejudice was first published in the United Kingdom on this date in 1813.

    1. I like all her books, even Lady Susan and the unfinished ones. And I have read loads of Austen-inspired novels. Maybe my least favourite is Northanger Abbey. I love Persuasion.

  6. I think both films are similar, if my memory is good... I recommend you the bridgerton if you like the stories about the high society.. I don't know if this expression is correct

    Marian, Is that TV series about love? I have heard positive things about it but I do not usually like the TV series that are based on other historical periods. Thank you.

    2. DAphne, the Bridgestone is about love, but also about the goings-on in Nobility, and the importance of marriage for young ladies in that epoque. I liked the way the subject is treated, but anyway I like historical series, for example Downtown abbey is very different, but also quite interesting, and The Crown, of course
