ReplyDeleteIt's a George Eliot quote. Her real name is Mary Ann Evans. She was an English novelist, poet, journalist, translator, and one of the leading writers of the Victorian era. I did not know her, but after reading about her I am very interested in reading a novel, especially Middlemarch, whose review is staggeringly brilliant.
ReplyDeleteI definitely agree with the quote. You should never give up on what you really like, even if you think it is too late. With a little motivation, anything is possible.
He was an incredible woman. I've only read two of her books (there isn't time for everything): The Mill on the Floss and Silas Marner.
