Well, in my romantic opinion, I want to think that marriage could be everything, the first part and also the second. However, these two statements seem to be like when you confess your love to someone, but you can interpret it from two perspectives. You can say the same words but thinking of a different meaning like, I love you and I want you to be happy, even if it means with me or without me, or I love you, you must make me happy, in a selfish way. Marriage should be like the first one. Loving and wishing your partner happiness in the most honest and sincere way is the only way you will be happy too.
